London, August 14 (QNA) - Brighton & Hove Albion FC announced today that they extended the contract of their Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez to 2031.

The Paraguayan player joined Brighton from Inter Miami in January 2015, making 56 appearances and scoring 11 goals.

Gomez represented Paraguay at the 2016 World Cup, starting four of their five matches before their elimination by France in the round of 16.

Brighton will begin their Premier League campaign at home against Aston Villa on Aug. 23, preceded by a Europa League play-off against Norwegian side Tromso on Aug. 20. (QNA)
