Egypt, Pakistan Discuss Enhancing Security and Defense Cooperation
Cairo, August 14 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the security and defense fields with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during a phone call today, with a view to serving their shared interests and further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the two sides exchanged views on several regional issues, foremost among them developments in the region, efforts to reduce escalation and restore calm, as well as regional security arrangements.
The two ministers affirmed their commitment to continuing close consultations and coordination between their countries in the coming period in support of efforts to strengthen regional security and stability. (QNA)
