WhatsApp Tests Easier Parental Controls on iPhones
Washington, August 10 (QNA) - WhatsApp is testing a new parental control feature for iPhones that allows parents to link their accounts to those of their young children and teenagers, and manage several account settings directly from the app.
The feature, called "parent-managed accounts," allows parents to link their account to their child's account via a QR code, then enter the child's date of birth to specify which features will be restricted. These restrictions will be automatically lifted when the child turns 18.
The feature provides tools to control who is allowed to communicate with the child, manage communication requests and group joining, and adjust privacy settings, such as specifying who can see the profile picture, identifying information, and online status. (QNA)
