Two Earthquakes Strike Sarangani Area in Southern Philippines
Manila, July 06 (QNA) - Two earthquakes, measuring 5.8 and 5.4 on the Richter scale, struck the southern Philippines on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.
The first quake occurred about 48 kilometers from Sarangani in Mindanao island, while the second was 65 kilometers from the same area at a depth of 35 kilometers, the USGS reported.
No tsunami warnings have been issued so far.
On June 8, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the same island, killing 80 people and displacing thousands. (QNA)
