Al Dana Girls Center Launches Summer Camp Marking Arab Youth Day
Doha, July 05 (QNA) - Al Dana Girls Center of Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth staged its summer camp in Doha on Sunday.
The event marks Arab Youth Day and upholds the mantra of "from dialogue to change". It broadly stems from the center's mission to empower young people and deepen their role in national development, as well as the culture of dialogue, scientific research, and innovation.
Al Dana Center head Wadha Al Jaber told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that youth centers always leave a footprint and create impact, emphasizing that today the center opened the camp with incredible enthusiasm in 2026, pursuing the motto of a summer that delights, and awareness that unites people.
The Center acknowledged that the camp should commence with a panel discussion moderated by educator Hessa Al Nasr in sync with Qatar National Vision 2030, Al Jaber explained.
Al Jaber added that to mark this interactive panel, an exhibition was staged to showcase scientific research that focuses on the themes of youth national policy.
Artist Aida Al Mulla from the Qatar Cultural Center for the Deaf told QNA that she was glad to work in tandem with Al Dana Center, emphasizing that there is significant priority to engage girls in such awareness events.
Dana Al Saadi, a volunteer at the event, a member of the advisory committee of Al Dana Girls Center, and the founder of the "Rasanah" initiative, said her participation is intended to spotlight the role of young people in development.
She noted that the ideas and initiatives of these young people are the cornerstone of charting the future, applauding the launch of this initiative that aims to help young people integrate and spread awareness.
Having benefited 40 girls aged 15 to 39, this interactive panel focuses on consolidating the culture of constructive dialogue, communication skills, crafting societal initiatives, and strengthening awareness of the significance of positive engagement and national responsibility.
Arab Youth Day is annually marked on July 5, as adopted by the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers for Youth and Sports during its 66th session.
The celebration aims to garner the attention of the Arab community to youth issues and recognize their potential as key partners in the region's societies. (QNA)
