Doha, July 05 (QNA) - The Enforcement Court and the Alaqraboon Center of Qatar Charity signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at providing an integrated support system for custodial children, which contributes to promoting a healthy upbringing environment for them and supporting their social and psychological needs, in addition to providing a range of supportive services, programs and activities in coordination with the office of child custody affairs.

In a statement on Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) said that this step reflects the State of Qatar's commitment to enhancing child protection, consolidating family stability, and institutional cooperation between the judicial and charitable sectors, in order to achieve the goals of the National Initiative to Develop Justice Systems.

SJC pointed out that, under the memorandum, the two parties will cooperate in providing a package of humanitarian and social services, including urgent living assistance, support for the basic needs of foster and needy families, and contributing to providing educational support for children, in addition to implementing programs and activities that contribute to enhancing their psychological and social stability, in accordance with the approved regulations, rules and policies.

HE Deputy President of the Enforcement Court Judge Mohammed Khalifa Al Kubaisi stressed that the signing of the memorandum between the SJC and the Alaqraboon Center of Qatar Charity embodies the vision of the State of Qatar in establishing comprehensive justice, based on the directives of the wise leadership, which emphasizes the importance of preserving and strengthening the basic components of the family and society, in a way that consolidates child protection and enhances social cohesion, which the National Initiative to Develop Justice Systems was keen to include within the developmental and support programs of the Enforcement Court, and to update family enforcement procedures in light of the updated Judicial Enforcement Law No. (4) of 2024.

His Excellency indicated that the memorandum establishes an effective institutional partnership to support custodial children and deserving families, thereby mitigating the social and economic impacts of family disputes, and reflecting the judiciary's mission to serve the community in addition to enforcing justice.

In turn, Executive Director of Alaqraboon Center Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida emphasized that this memorandum represents a humanitarian partnership with a sustainable impact. He noted that charitable work is not limited to providing aid, but extends to empowering families and enhancing their stability.

He added that Alaqraboon Center will continue to utilize its capabilities and expertise to provide quality support to deserving families in partnership with state institutions, thereby enhancing the values of solidarity and social responsibility and achieving a sustainable impact on the lives of children.
