Palestinian Infant Dies after Israeli Forces Prevented Him from Reaching Hospital
Ramallah, July 05 (QNA) - A four-month-old Palestinian infant died on Sunday after Israeli occupation forces blocked his urgent medical transfer through a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Deir Ammar, west of Ramallah, according to Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governor Laila Ghannam.
Ghannam said the infant, who was on his way to receive medical treatment, was prevented by Israeli occupation soldiers from reaching the hospital despite his critical condition. She noted that the soldiers deprived the child of timely access to medical care, after which he died.
She added that the incident is part of what she described as an Israeli policy implemented through military checkpoints, gates, and closures aimed at obstructing the movement of civilians, patients, and ambulances, in violation of fundamental rights, foremost among them the rights to life, freedom of movement, and access to medical care.
