Doha, July 28 (QNA) - Ooredoo Group, a Qatari public shareholding company, reported a 5.1% decline in net profit during the first half of the year to QR 1.84 billion, compared with net profit of approximately QAR 1.94 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.

In a statement issued today, the group said the decline in net profit was primarily attributable to a one-off legal provision in Algeria amounting to QR 208 million.

Group revenue increased by 4.6% year-on-year to QR 12.5 billion, driven by strong contributions from Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, and Palestine, together with resilient service revenue performance across the group.

According to the group's financial data, published today on the Qatar Stock Exchange, earnings per share declined to QR 0.58 for the period ended Jun. 30, 2026, compared with QR 0.61 for the same period a year earlier. (QNA)
