Russian Defense Ministry: Heavy Strikes on Kyiv Targeting Industrial Sites, Infrastructure
Moscow, July 19 (QNA) - Russian armed forces carried out a massive strike overnight on military facilities and logistics centers in Kyiv and the surrounding region, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that Russian armed forces launched a massive strike using air and ground-based precision weapons and attack drones against military-industrial complexes and logistics centers in Kyiv and the region.
The statement added that Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on infrastructure facilities at the Yuzhny port in the city of Odessa, which are used for the delivery and storage of military shipments, as well as fuel and lubricants intended for Ukrainian forces.
For its part, Ukraine announced that two people were injured in Kyiv as a result of a Russian attack, while several fires broke out and numerous buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged by the bombardment.
The Russia-Ukraine war continues to escalate with intensified reciprocal attacks. In recent months, Ukraine stepped up its long-range strikes on targets inside Russian territory, while Russia continued launching missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, particularly Kyiv. (QNA)
