Israeli Occupation Forces Close Mosque in Hebron, Assault Worshippers
Ramallah, June 26 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Ras Mosque in the Al-Ja'bari neighborhood of Hebron's Old City at dawn today, closing it to worshippers after assaulting those inside and preventing the dawn prayer.
According to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), occupation forces and settlers stormed the mosque, raised Israeli flags on its doors, forced two worshippers who were inside to leave, and prevented the dawn prayer before closing the mosque to worshippers. It remains closed.
WAFA added that settlers had seized land belonging to the mosque and adjacent to it about six months ago and built a playground on it.
For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Religious Endowments condemned the incident. (QNA)
