6.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Southern Philippines
Manila, June 26 (QNA) A 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck southern Philippines today, less than three weeks after a powerful quake hit the same region.
The US Geological Survey reported that the quake occurred about 21 kilometers from Sarangani City on Mindanao Island at a depth of 65.7 kilometers. No tsunami warnings have been issued.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the same island on June 8, killing 80 people and displacing thousands. (QNA)
