American Jessica Pegula Qualifies for Berlin Open Final
Berlin, June 20 (QNA) - American Jessica Pegula, ranked fourth in the world, qualified for the Berlin Open final for the second time on Saturday after a victory over Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, in three sets.
Pegula secured the 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-0 win to book her place in the final against the winner of the match between Czech Linda Noskova and Filipino Alexandra Eala, which takes place later today.
In their first grass-court meeting, Pegula achieved only her fourth victory over the Belarusian, capitalizing on the four-time Grand Slam champion's errors, particularly on her forehand, during the first three games. (QNA)
