Berlin, June 13 (QNA) - Serena Williams will team up with Czech player Karolína Muchova in the women's doubles event at the Berlin Open, which is taking place this week.
Williams announced less than two weeks ago that she would come out of retirement to compete in doubles.
The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion also competed at the Queen's Club Championships in London on Tuesday, alongside Canada's Victoria Mboko, where they defeated the American duo Nicole Melichar-Martinez and New Zealand's Erin Routliffe in the opening round, 7-6, 6-2.
However, their campaign ended shortly after Mboko was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury.
Williams is expected to compete at The Championships, Wimbledon next month, and a potential return to singles competition has not been thoroughly ruled out. (QNA)
