Death Toll from Israeli Airstrike on Beirut's Southern Suburbs Rises to Three Killed, 15 Injured
Beirut, June 14 (QNA) – The death toll from the Israeli airstrike on Beirut's southern suburbs has risen to three, with 15 others wounded.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported today that search and rescue operations are ongoing at the strike site in the Ghobeiry area of the southern suburbs, which sustained extensive damage to nearby buildings and commercial shops.
Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft launched two airstrikes on Kfardounine and Burj Al Shamali, while a motorcycle was targeted on a public road in Al Sama'iya Al Sha'itiya. Concurrently, Majdalzoun was shelled with white phosphorus.
Earlier on Sunday, Lebanese authorities had announced an initial toll of one fatality and several injuries from the strike on the capital's southern suburbs.
The escalation follows a recent announcement by the United States that Lebanon and the Israeli entity had reached a ceasefire agreement at the conclusion of a fourth round of negotiations in Washington, D.C. However, Israeli forces continue their aggression across extensive areas of Lebanese territory. (QNA)
