Minister of Commerce and Industry Visits Pharmaceutical Factories at Small and Medium Industries Zone

Doha, June 13 (QNA) - HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani paid a field visit today to several pharmaceutical factories at the Small and Medium Industries Zone, as part of the Ministry's ongoing monitoring of developments in the national industrial sector and its efforts to learn about operational processes and expansion plans implemented by the factories, contributing to the growth and competitiveness of national industries.
A statement by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that His Excellency was briefed during the tour on the latest technologies and systems used in production processes as well as the efforts being made to improve operational efficiency and enhance product quality. He was also given a presentation on the factories' future projects and their plans to expand production capacity and foster innovation.
At the end of his visit, HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry affirmed the Ministry's commitment to continuing its support for the industrial sector as a cornerstone of economic diversification by developing the industrial environment and offering incentives and facilities to encourage investment, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Manufacturing Strategy and the Third National Development Strategy.
