Beirut, June 13 (QNA) - One person was killed and a Lebanese soldier was seriously wounded Saturday following a flurry of Israeli attacks targeting several areas in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
The agency reported that a citizen was killed at dawn today in an airstrike that targeted the town of Kfarrumman, while Israeli warplanes carried out a strike on the town of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa.
In a separate development, the Lebanese military said in a statement that an Israeli drone targeted a soldier while he was moving near Al-Najda Hospital in the city of Nabatieh but failed to hit him. The drone then targeted him again on the Kfarrumman–Nabatieh road, causing serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the town of Kherbet Selm in the Bint Jbeil district came under artillery bombardment, while an Israeli drone flew at low altitude over villages in the Zahrani area of the Sidon district.
In the Marjayoun district, the town of Deir Mimas was hit by three artillery shells, two of which slammed into the courtyard of an inhabited house, causing severe material damage without any reported casualties.
Israeli warplanes also conducted strikes targeting the towns of Siddiqine, Borj Qallawiyeh, Majdal Zoun, and Al-Kanisa.
These developments come amid mounting Israeli attacks on areas in southern Lebanon, causing material damage to property and infrastructure.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 3,711, with 11,483 people wounded.
The United States recently announced that Lebanon and Israel had reached a ceasefire agreement following the conclusion of a fourth round of negotiations in Washington.
However, Israeli forces have continued their attacks across wide areas of Lebanese territory. (QNA)
