Romanian Parliament Ousts Prime Minister in No-Confidence Vote
Bucharest, May 05 (QNA) - The Romanian Parliament on Tuesday passed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
The motion was submitted by the Social Democratic Party along with far-right lawmakers.
It secured 281 votes, exceeding the required threshold of 233 in the 464-seat parliament.
Under Romania's constitution, Bolojan's government will assume a caretaker role for 45 days, during which it will be limited to routine administrative duties and will not be permitted to issue emergency decrees or propose new legislation. (QNA)
