QNB Group and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar Sign MoU to Establish Business Innovation Center
Doha, May 03 (QNA) - QNB Group and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), Qatar Foundation partner university, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the QNB Center for Business Innovation.
This significant step enhances the Group's contribution to supporting efforts aimed at developing business education, fostering innovation ecosystems, and preparing qualified professionals to address future developments in Qatar and the wider region.
The MoU was signed by Group CEO of QNB, Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, and Dean of CMU-Q, Dr. Michael Trick, in the presence of representatives from both sides.
In a statement, QNB Group said the QNB Center for Business Innovation will serve as a platform to connect academic excellence with specialized professional expertise, supporting efforts to prepare future leaders and foster innovation in key professional sectors. The statement added that the initiative reflects the Group's ongoing focus on enabling knowledge-based growth, driving digital transformation, and contributing to the development of a diversified economy in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
QNB Group CEO Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa said the partnership reflects the bank's belief that the region's future will be shaped by its capacity for innovation and the strength of its human capital. He added that the center will focus on developing, supporting, and empowering the next generation of Qatari and Gulf talent, equipping them with the skills needed to lead in a rapidly changing world.
For his part, CMU-Q Dean Dr. Michael Trick said the QNB Center for Business Innovation combines academic excellence with financial leadership. He added that by integrating the university's expertise in business administration, artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and information systems with QNB's deep knowledge of the regional financial and business environment, the initiative will open broad opportunities for students and the wider community.
