Amman, June 17 (QNA) - Jordanian politicians and analysts unanimously agreed that the agreement expected to be signed between the United States of America and Iran in Geneva represents a highly significant political and diplomatic turning point in the region's history, laying the foundation for a new phase of de-escalation and rebuilding trust among influential regional and international powers.

They stressed that the pivotal role played by the State of Qatar in bridging differences and creating the appropriate conditions for the success of the negotiations reflects the advanced position Doha has attained as one of the world's leading mediators and among the most capable of managing complex issues.

In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the analysts emphasized that the importance of the agreement lies not only in the nature of the issues it addresses or the parties involved, but also in the fact that it sends a clear political message that diplomacy and dialogue remain the most effective means of addressing international crises and avoiding further tensions and instability, particularly in a region considered one of the world's most sensitive and affected by political and security dynamics.

They noted that the success of Qatar's efforts in bringing Washington and Tehran closer together reflects a longstanding record of trust and credibility that Doha has built over many years of quiet diplomacy. This has enabled Qatar to play key roles in numerous regional and international issues and has reinforced its image as a reliable partner capable of building bridges between differing parties and transforming crises into opportunities for dialogue and understanding.

For his part, Professor of Political Science at the Hashemite University, Dr. Jamal Al Shalabi, said that the agreement between Washington and Tehran reflects a remarkable diplomatic success for the State of Qatar and confirms that the influence of countries is measured by their ability to build trust and effectively employ their political and diplomatic tools.

He added that Qatar has, over recent years, succeeded in establishing a diplomatic model based on dialogue, openness, and the pursuit of peaceful solutions, which has earned it broad respect among various international parties and made it a preferred destination for mediation efforts and initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts.

Al Shalabi explained that the success of Qatar's mediation in this file resulted from a combination of integrated factors, foremost among them the clear political will adopted by Doha in supporting peace efforts, the accumulated expertise gained through participation in a number of complex international issues, and the extensive network of international relations linking it with influential powers across the global stage.

He stressed that Qatari diplomacy has succeeded in consolidating its presence as a trusted actor that enjoys the confidence of all parties, enabling it to move with flexibility and effectiveness in highly complex political environments.

He noted that its success in bringing Washington and Tehran closer together adds to a distinguished record of initiatives that have contributed to supporting regional and international security and stability.

In this context, Jordanian political analyst and human rights adviser Dr. Riyad Al Subh stressed that the anticipated Geneva agreement should not be viewed as merely a temporary political understanding or a short-term settlement between two opposing parties, but rather as a strategic step that could contribute to reshaping the political and security environment in the Middle East in the coming years.

Al Subh told QNA that the region has suffered for decades from the repercussions of the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, which have affected numerous regional issues and directly impacted security, stability, and opportunities for economic development.

He noted that any progress in relations between the two sides would have positive implications extending beyond the borders of the two countries to the region as a whole.

He added that the agreement carries exceptional significance because it comes at a time when the region is facing intertwined challenges and rapid developments that require greater coordination, dialogue, and the prioritization of shared interests.

He pointed out that its success could pave the way for addressing other outstanding issues and enhance prospects for building a more stable regional system capable of confronting future challenges.

Al Subh stressed that Qatar's role was a decisive factor in creating the conditions necessary for the success of the negotiations, explaining that Doha, through its balanced relations with all parties and its long experience in crisis management, was able to create an atmosphere of mutual trust that helped bridge differences and overcome many of the obstacles that had hindered understandings over the past years.

For his part, former Jordanian parliamentarian Dr. Mohammed Al Akour affirmed that the anticipated agreement between the United States and Iran represents an important development in the management of regional crises and reflects a growing conviction among international parties that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of addressing complex issues and avoiding the consequences of escalation on the region's security and stability.

Al Akour told QNA that what distinguishes this agreement is that it comes at a highly sensitive regional and international stage, giving it dimensions that go beyond bilateral relations between Washington and Tehran to become an indication of the possibility of building new approaches based on understanding and negotiation rather than confrontation.

He noted that the agreement's success could help reduce regional tensions and open the door to addressing other priority issues for the countries of the region.

Al Akour emphasized that the role played by the State of Qatar throughout the negotiation process reflects remarkable diplomatic maturity and an ability to build bridges of trust between different parties.

He explained that Doha has succeeded over the years in consolidating its position as a trusted mediator with balanced relations and high credibility among various regional and international powers.

He pointed out that the success of Qatar's mediation in bringing the American and Iranian sides closer together adds to a cumulative record of Qatari efforts aimed at supporting regional stability and enhancing opportunities for the peaceful settlement of disputes, stressing that this approach reflects a strategic vision based on investing in dialogue and preventive diplomacy as two fundamental pillars for achieving security and development.

Al Akour stressed that the region today stands before an important opportunity to transform this understanding into a sustainable process that contributes to strengthening regional stability and creating a more favorable environment for economic and political cooperation, with positive implications for the peoples of the region and their aspirations for development and prosperity.

The Jordanian analysts concluded their remarks to QNA by affirming that the anticipated Geneva agreement carries dimensions that go beyond the bilateral framework of U.S.-Iranian relations, serving as a message of hope for the region and the world that dialogue and diplomacy remain capable of achieving major political breakthroughs.

They stressed that Qatar's role in making this process successful further enhances Doha's position as an international hub for dialogue and a trusted mediator in efforts to promote peace and consolidate security and stability at both the regional and international levels. (QNA)
