Russia Says It Seized Two Eastern Ukrainian Villages, Downs 285 Drones
Moscow, May 27 (QNA) - The Russian troops took over the villages of Vozdvyzhivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Granov in Kharkiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement added that the land forces took out 1,220 Ukrainian soldiers on various combat fronts over the past 24 hours, in addition to destroying numerous armored vehicles and field artillery, as well as Ukrainian cyberwarfare stations.
The Russian tactical-operation fighter jets, augmented by offensive drones as well as missile and artillery forces, inflicted damage on the institutions of the Ukrainian Industrial Military Complex, the statement continued.
It added that energy facilities used by the Ukrainian forces were also obliterated, alongside storage depots and long-range UAV launchers.
Since the flare-up of the war on Feb. 24, 2022, Russia and Ukraine have been publishing daily reports on the progress of battles and damaged areas.
However, due to the conditions surrounding this ongoing war and the nature of combat operations, these data are commonly issued by both parties without independent verification. (QNA)
