Rabat International Book Fair Begins
Rabat, May 01 (QNA) - The Rabat International Book Fair began in Rabat. The fair will run until May 10.
A total of 891 exhibitors representing Morocco and 60 countries from the Arab world, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, presenting more than 130,000 titles are taking part in this year's edition.
Organizers said the fair, held alongside the activities of Rabat World Book Capital of 2026, celebrates the Moroccan traveler Ibn Battuta and commemorates his journey through his famous work, the Travels of Ibn Battua, by artistically portraying the journey across 10 key stops, from Tangier to China, passing through African and Arab countries.
They noted that travel literature will be the central theme of this edition, whose cultural program includes a centenary segment dedicated to Moroccan, Arab, and international writers, as well as a commemoration of the 900th anniversary of the philosopher Averroes. (QNA)
