Beirut, May 01 (QNA) - Two people were killed and 10 others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a town in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that the strike hit the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, resulting in two fatalities and 10 injuries.

The renewed shelling comes amid ongoing Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire. On Thursday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that nine people were killed and 13 others injured in two airstrikes targeting towns in Nabatieh district. (QNA)
