Qatar Handball Association Holds Ordinary General Assembly Meeting
Doha, April 2 (QNA) - The Qatar Handball Association held its Ordinary General Assembly meeting Thursday, attended by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, club representatives, and a representative of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).
The meeting saw the ratification of the minutes of the previous General Assembly meeting, the presentation of reports on past and future activities, the approval of the audited financial statements for the past year, and the appointment of financial auditors, along with the presentation of the budget for the coming year. The future vision for developing national teams and local competitions was also discussed.
Final arrangements for the Qatar Cup and HH the Amir Cup tournaments were reviewed, in addition to discussing the challenges facing the sport and how to address them in a way that enhances the technical and administrative work of clubs and national teams.
President of the Qatar Handball Association, Ahmed Al Shaabi, affirmed that the General Assembly meeting was conducted positively, reflecting aspirations for the development of Qatari handball.
Al Shaabi extended his thanks to the club representatives for their constructive cooperation with the association, which contributes to strengthening aspirations for achieving the best results befitting the future of Qatari handball globally and on the continent.
For his part, the association's secretary general Mohammed Jaber Al Mulla affirmed that the positive and constructive atmosphere that prevailed during the General Assembly meeting reflects the depth of the partnership and fruitful cooperation between the Federation and all the clubs.
Al Mulla said that all the proposals put forward by the club representatives during the meeting were recorded and will be studied very carefully in order to materialize them into tangible realities that will benefit the future of Qatari handball.
He noted that the meeting witnessed extensive and responsible discussions, through which everyone looked forward to establishing a roadmap that ensures further development of the sport and raises its level.
He emphasized that the ultimate goal is to continue representing Qatar with distinction in all continental and international arenas, to preserve the significant gains achieved thanks to the accomplishments witnessed by Qatari handball, and to strive for even more honorable successes.(QNA)
