Doha, April 02 (QNA) - Al Arabi SC have been crowned champions of the Qatar Basketball League for the 2025-26 season, securing their third consecutive title with a 91–79 win over Al Rayyan SC.

The victory, achieved on Wednesday at Al Gharafa Hall, gave Al Arabi an unassailable lead in the best-of-three final series.

The match began with Al Arabi taking control, winning the first quarter 28–18 through fast transitions and effective shooting. Al Rayyan responded in the second quarter, narrowing the gap after a 27–18 run to level the contest.

However, tactical adjustments after the break helped Al Arabi regain momentum, as they edged the third quarter 18–14 before pulling away in the final period, which they won 27–20.

Abdulrahman Saad was the standout performer for Al Arabi, scoring 24 points, while Rion Cortez Brown led Al Rayyan with 18.

The title marks Al Arabi's 11th league crown, as they continue to close the gap on Al Rayyan, who remain the most successful club in the competition’s history.

Elsewhere, Al Sadd SC secured third place with an 80–73 victory over Al Ahli SC earlier in the week.

Officials from the Qatar Basketball Federation said the final reflected the growing standard of basketball in the country, highlighting the competitiveness and technical quality of the league. (QNA)
