UAE President Discusses Regional Escalation with Finnish and Sri Lankan Leaders
Abu Dhabi, March 04 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has held separate phone calls with the presidents of Finland and Sri Lanka to discuss the growing military escalation in the region and its implications for regional and global security.
Sheikh Mohamed spoke on Wednesday with President Alexander Stubb of Finland and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka about what was described as the "serious repercussions" of the current escalation on regional stability.
During the calls, the leaders stressed the need to halt further escalation, warning that continued military confrontation could have far-reaching consequences for both regional and international security.
The presidents of Finland and Sri Lanka also expressed solidarity with the UAE following Iranian attacks targeting its territory and several other countries in the region.
The conversations come amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, with a number of states on alert over the risk of a broader conflict.
The UAE has called for restraint and diplomatic efforts to prevent further instability. (QNA)
