Oman's Sultan Holds Calls on Regional War and De-escalation Efforts

Muscat, March 04 (QNA) - Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman has received a series of phone calls from international leaders to discuss the ongoing escalation in the region and its wider implications for stability and security.

According to Omani media, the Sultan spoke separately on Wednesday with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania and President Guy Parmelin of the Swiss Confederation.

During the calls, the leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the conflict and the impact it is having on the security and stability of countries and their populations.

They stressed the importance of addressing the crisis with wisdom and foresight, underscoring the need for a ceasefire, de-escalation and a return to dialogue, as well as political and diplomatic solutions. (QNA)
