UAE President Condemns Attack Targeting Residence of President of Iraq's Kurdistan Region
Abu Dhabi, March 29 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan condemned the attack targeting the residence of President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani in Duhok Governorate.
During a phone call on Sunday with President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani, the UAE President also discussed the ongoing Iranian attacks against the UAE and other countries in the region, which target civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure.
He expressed support for all efforts aimed at enhancing the security of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
For his part, Barzani reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks, describing them as a violation of state sovereignty, international law and the UN Charter, and as undermining regional and international peace and security.
Separately, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional developments and their serious repercussions on regional and international peace and security during a video call with US Senator Joni Ernst.
The two sides exchanged views on the ongoing developments, including the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region.
Ernst condemned the attacks as a violation of state sovereignty and international laws and norms. (QNA)
