Abu Dhabi, March 29 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call on Sunday with President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso, during which they discussed the latest regional developments amid the ongoing military escalation and its serious repercussions on regional and international peace and security, as well as its impact on international navigation and the global economy.

The two sides also discussed the ongoing Iranian attacks against the United Arab Emirates and countries in the region, which target civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure. They stressed that these attacks constitute a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and of international laws and norms, and pose a threat to regional security and stability.

The Congolese President condemned the attacks, affirming his country's full solidarity with the UAE in all measures taken to safeguard its security and stability, and to ensure the safety of its territory, citizens and residents.

The call also addressed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and joint action, and ways to further develop them to enhance mutual interests and support development priorities, within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries and their shared commitment to achieving its objectives.
