Doha, October 07 (QNA) - The Ministry of Municipality on Wednesday concluded the two-day 6th Recycling and Sustainability Conference and Exhibition 2026, featuring broad participation from government entities, local and international companies, and experts in waste management and the circular economy.

The event drew 1,020 visitors out of 1,464 registrants, alongside 127 exhibitors, 51 speakers, 6 embassies, and 16 school delegations from 10 schools.

On the sidelines of the event, the Ministry honored the winners of the 2026 "Best Home Garden" and "Best School Garden" competitions to encourage community and educational greening efforts.

Top honors in the school category went to Lubaba Bint Al Harith Primary School for Girls, Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib Preparatory School for Boys, and Ruqayya Preparatory School for Girls.

The conference wrapped up by emphasizing public-private-community partnerships and the adoption of innovative technologies to advance a sustainable circular economy, in line with Qatar's vision for environmental protection and resource sustainability. (QNA)
