Ankara, October 28 (QNA) - Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed via a phone call on Wednesday with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, key regional and international developments and bilateral relations.

The Turkish presidency stated that Erdogan expressed during the call that his country, as a member of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, is keeping a close eye on developments in the Strait of Hormuz and Yemen and works to solve related issues through diplomatic channels.

He furthermore affirmed Ankara's readiness to support efforts made regarding the Russian/Ukrainian diplomatic path and ending the conflict between the two countries through dialogue and diplomacy. (QNA)
