Kuwait City, January 24 (QNA) - The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) of Kuwait on Saturday announced the launch of the 31st Al‑Qurain Cultural Festival, scheduled to commence this Monday and run until Feb.11, 2026.

Held under the epic theme: "A Renewed Heritage…and Inexhaustible Creativity", the festival will feature tremendous participation from an elite assembly of Arab intellectuals, academics, and cultural visionaries.

Assistant Secretary-General for the Cultural Sector at NCCAL, Aisha Al Mahmoud, emphasized that the festival intends to showcase Kuwait's extraordinary cultural heritage while intertwining it with groundbreaking creative visions. She noted that the agenda encompasses events that reflect domestic, Arab, and global cultural values.

On the visual arts and cinematic front, the event will inaugurate the National Mural Art Project and screen the historic film "Bas Ya Bahar" by director Khaled Al Siddiq, alongside specialized exhibitions showcasing tremendous artistic excellence.

The intellectual program will revolve around the main seminar titled "From Heritage to Creativity: Kuwait and the Journey of Arab Culture", spanning three days.

This will be followed by visionary lectures and panel discussions on artificial intelligence and creative challenges, contemporary ceramic murals, and a foundational discussion for the Arabic Language Academy, featuring Professor Dr. Leila Al Sabban, Dr. Eid Hamed Al Dhafiri, and Dr. Mohammed Abu Shawareb.
