Israeli Occupation Forces Infiltrate Daraa Governorate, Southern Syria
Damascus, January 2 (QNA) - An Israeli military force infiltrated the abandoned "Sariya Jamla" military site in the Yarmouk Basin area, west of Daraa Governorate in southern Syria on Friday.
A force consisting of four Israeli military vehicles, accompanied by approximately twenty personnel, entered the area and positioned themselves around the site before withdrawing, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
Israeli forces yesterday, Thursday, also infiltrated several areas in the northern Quneitra countryside in southern Syria. Additionally, an Israeli force opened fire on a group of Syrian civilians near the town of Al Rafid in the western Quneitra countryside.
The Israeli occupation forces continue their repeated violations in southern Syria, in contravention of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Syria has repeatedly called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities and deter the occupation's practices. (QNA)
