Volleyball World Championship.. Egypt, Tunisia Losses Set Up Decisive Clash Between Them on Thursday
Manila, September 16 (QNA) - The Egyptian national volleyball team suffered a 3-1 defeat against the Philippines on Tuesday, during the second round of Group A at the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship held in the Philippines.
The host team dominated the match from the start, winning a tight first set 29-27. Egypt bounced back in the second set, taking it 25-23, but the Philippines regained control to secure the third and fourth sets 25-21 each.
In the same group, Tunisia also lost to Iran 3-1, leaving all four teams tied in the group standings.
This sets up a crucial and decisive clash between Egypt and Tunisia on Thursday in the final third round, with both teams battling for a top-two finish to advance to the round of 16. (QNA)
