Doha, December 27 (QNA) - Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi and Qatar SC Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 11 match, slated for Sunday.

Belmadi said: "We are back in league action after a long break. Everyone knows that our league position does not reflect our ambitions at all at the end of the first leg of season. It is crucial to get the three points and improve the team’s overall standing by the end of first leg."

"Looking closely at the team’s performance, we have had a significant number of absences, impactful absences since the start of the season. We need to bounce back quickly and keep working hard to perform well in the second half of the league and in our AFC Champions League campaign, " he added.

For his part, Qatar SC Marquez Lopez said: "The team trained well during the recent break, and we are satisfied with our preparations during that period. We are looking forward to a strong return to the league."

"We are expecting a tough match against a strong team like Al Duhail, but every match in the league is important and difficult. We must deal with this appropriately and we must give our best in this encounter," said Lopez. (QNA)
