Doha, July 9 (QNA) - President of the Qatar Football Association Jassim Rashid Al Buenain announced today his resignation.

In a statement posted on his personal account on X, Al Buenain said he was stepping down after serving for three years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Football Association.

He added that the past three years had been a period filled with challenges, but that determination and dedication had transformed ambitions into reality. 

He also said that the public interest had always been, and would continue to be, the highest priority, and that sincere intentions can overcome all obstacles.

He concluded by expressing his hope that Qatari football would continue its journey toward greater success, progress, and prosperity. (QNA)
