Madrid, February 6 (QNA) - FC Barcelona officially announced Friday the extension of young player Fermin Lopez's contract, keeping him with the first team until 2031.

The club explained in a statement on its official website that the 22-year-old Fermin officially signed his new contract in the presence of club president Joan Laporta, thus completing the announcement made last week regarding the extension.

Barcelona had previously announced reaching an agreement with the player to extend his contract, before the official signing took place today at the club's headquarters, a move reflecting the management's confidence in the player's potential and his future role with the team.

Fermin López will continue to wear the number 16 jersey for Barcelona in the coming period. (QNA)
