QPO to Hold "Mozart y Mambo" Concert on Jan. 9 and 10
Doha, January 06 (QNA) - Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is set to hold the concert "Mozart y Mambo" with Sarah Willis on January 9 and 10 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
The concert reflects QPO's commitment to cultural exchange and in diversifying its program. It will take the audience on a journey to Vienna's biggest concert halls and Havana's full of life streets.
The event celebrates cultural closeness by introducing contemporary audiences to diverse musical experiences that merge vibrant Latin music with European classics.
The concert further positions Qatar as a center for global art by welcoming international talents and reflects local audiences' appreciation for diverse genres of music.
Grammy-nominated artist Alastair Willis will lead the concert by presenting Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio Overture.
Willis, a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker, will merge a work of Mozart and Cuban sound in an acclaimed performance.
The audience will listen during the concert to Horn Concerto No. 3, which was completed between 1784 and 1787 in Vienna. (QNA)
