Makkah Al Mukarramah, April 03 (QNA) - The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned a newly approved Knesset law allowing the use of the death penalty in the occupied West Bank.

An MWL statement on Thursday slammed the legislation, saying it torpedoes the rights and dignity of Palestinians and warning it could be applied in a discriminatory manner.

It also denounced "broader inhumane practices against Palestinian detainees".

The group expressed support for positions issued by the foreign ministers of several countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.(QNA)
