Egypt and US Discuss Regional Tensions and Sudan Situation
Cairo, April 03 (QNA) - Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has discussed regional developments with a senior US official during a phone call as tensions continue to rise in the Middle East.
According to a statement from Egypt's foreign ministry, the talks between Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos focused on the ongoing military escalation in the region, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's position calling for de-escalation and a return to diplomatic efforts through negotiations.
On Sudan, he stressed the importance of preserving the country's unity and territorial integrity, supporting its national institutions, and rejecting the establishment of parallel entities. (QNA)
