Doha, May 05 (QNA) - Lesha Bank has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with DTX Partners, the advisory arm associated with Doha Tech Angels, to jointly pursue Sharia-compliant venture capital investments in technology-driven sectors.
The partnership aims to combine Lesha Bank's investment banking and structuring expertise with DTX Partners' experience in venture capital origination and technology investments. The focus will be on high-growth sectors including software, artificial intelligence, fintech, health-tech and biotech.
Officials said the collaboration will prioritize opportunities linked to Qatar's innovation ecosystem, while also selectively exploring international investments without geographical restrictions. All deals will remain subject to standard approvals, terms and final documentation.
CEO of Lesha Bank Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi said the agreement reflects the bank's strategic push into venture capital and technology investments.
He added that the partnership brings together institutional investment capacity and sector expertise to access innovation-led opportunities, noting that it positions the bank to support scalable, future-focused businesses while delivering value to investors.
Founding Partner of DTX Partners, Hessa Al Jaber, said the collaboration would help identify and support innovative companies with global growth potential.
She said the wider Doha Tech Angels platform and DTX's experience in technology investment would contribute to strengthening Qatar's innovation ecosystem. (QNA)
