23 Chadian Soldiers Killed in Boko Haram Attack
N'Djamena, May 05 (QNA) - Chad's army said militants from Boko Haram attacked a military base in the country's west, killing at least 23 soldiers and wounding 26.
In a statement, the army said it repelled the assault, which occurred overnight in the Lake Chad region, adding that clearance operations are ongoing.
The region has faced repeated attacks by Boko Haram, whose insurgency began in northeastern Nigeria in 2009 and later spread to Chad, Niger and Cameroon. (QNA)
