Turkish President, Pakistani Prime Minister Discuss Regional Developments
Istanbul, July 04 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed, in Istanbul on Saturday, prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, as well as key regional and international issues.
According to the Anadolu Agency, their talks covered developments in the Gaza war, the situation in Syria and Afghanistan, and that between Iran and the United States.
Both Turkiye and Pakistan affirmed the importance of diplomatic solutions and preventing the escalation of conflicts in the region.
The meeting also explored opportunities to expand cooperation between Ankara and Islamabad in the areas of defense industries, technology transfer, and military training, in addition to strengthening coordination in combating terrorism and ensuring regional security, increasing trade volume, encouraging mutual investments, and expanding cooperation in the energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors.
