MOEHE Concludes 2026 Summer Center Activities

Doha, August 03 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) concluded the student activities at the summer centers for the year 2026, which it organized in cooperation with a selection of strategic partners over a full month in five centers in government schools, with the participation of more than 950 male and female students from different age groups.
HE Undersecretary of the MOEHE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi attended the ceremony.
Student activities at summer centers come within the framework of the MOEHE's strategy to build an integrated educational system that supports the comprehensive development of students and contributes to achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, by enhancing human capital and enabling generations to face the challenges of the future with confidence and competence.
This year, the summer centers, with the participation of 22 partner entities and under the theme "invest their summer in creativity," offered more than 500 diverse activities that included the fields of culture, arts, creativity and design, sustainability and climate change, Islamic education, science, technology and artificial intelligence, in addition to social activities, communication skills, sports, health and proper nutrition, cybersecurity and digital solutions, as well as activities related to national identity and educational values.
In her remarks during the closing ceremony, Assistant Director of the Department of Schools and Students Affairs at the MOEHE Fatima Youssef Al Obaidli emphasized that the "Summer 2026" summer activity centers embodied the MOEHE's vision of investing in human, by providing a safe and stimulating educational environment that contributes to building students' personalities and developing their knowledge and skills, thus qualifying them to actively participate in shaping the future.
She indicated that the MOEHE pays great attention to student activities, based on its belief that building the student's personality extends to what they acquire in terms of experiences, skills, and experiences that enhance their self-confidence and develop their abilities. She pointed out that the centers provided quality programs that combined education and entertainment, and contributed to consolidating the values ​​of social responsibility, national identity, and teamwork.
Al Obaidli added that the centers witnessed a rich diversity through training workshops, interactive programs, competitions, educational field trips, and community partnerships that enriched the experience and reflected positively on the participants. She stressed the MOEHE's continued commitment to developing summer centers and expanding their programs to keep pace with the aspirations of the state and students' needs.
In turn, Director of Al-Khor Secondary School for Girls Center (representing the directors of summer centers) Hessa Lahdan Al Muhanadi confirmed that the success achieved this year was the result of the MOEHE's continuous support and its keenness to invest students' time and discover their talents.
Al Muhanadi pointed out that the experience was rich and fruitful and witnessed many success stories. She noted that the administrative, supervisory and organizational work teams were keen to provide an integrated educational experience that provided an attractive environment for learning and creativity. She pointed out that the increasing turnout reflects the confidence of parents and the continuous positive impact of these programs. (QNA)
