Islamabad, August 03 (QNA) - A number of militants were killed and wounded during clashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan, the security forces said Monday.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the security forces continue to conduct a series of intel operations in the province targeting militants' hideouts, along with their logistical networks.

APP highlighted that the operations were carried out in Bajaur district in the province, where the security forces pulled off actions that resulted in taking out and injuring several militants.

It further added that others were apprehended and a massive cache of weapons and ammunition had been seized throughout the operation.

In addition, APP reported that the security forces had successfully spotted the locations of rudimentary explosive devices used by militants, which were dismantled and destroyed as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen security in the region. (QNA)
