Seoul, June 29 (QNA) - Samsung, the South Korean electronics company, introduced its latest mid-range smartphone today, the Galaxy M47 5G.

The new phone arrives as an upgraded version of the Galaxy A27, featuring a larger battery, faster charging support and new color options. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which is built on a 4-nanometer process.

Samsung has equipped the device with a "Bypass Charging" feature, which routes power directly from the charger to the processor during use instead of charging the battery. The company said this helps lower internal temperatures and reduces thermal throttling, maintaining a stable frame rate during prolonged usage. The phone's display is also protected by a scratch-resistant layer capable of surviving drops from up to two meters.

The Galaxy M47 5G packs a 6,000-milliampere-hour battery that supports 45-watt fast charging. Its camera system supports video recording at up to 4K resolution and utilizes various technologies to improve low-light photography.

Samsung has promised six generations of annual Android operating system upgrades, along with six years of security updates.

The device includes a suite of artificial intelligence features, such as "Circle to Search" and Gemini integration, as well as a feature that allows callers to leave voice messages when the user is unavailable. Security is handled by the company's Knox Vault system, which isolates sensitive data and encryption keys within an independent security chip. (QNA)
