Six Killed in Shooting in Northern Germany
Berlin, June 29 (QNA) - Six people were killed on Monday in a shooting at a youth care center west of the northern German city of Hamburg.
The police said five people were killed at the scene inside the center, which is in the town of Stade, while a sixth person died of his injuries at a hospital.
The police headquarters in the region of Luneburg said in a statement that the primary suspect had been arrested, while two other individuals remained in police custody.
"An investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in the crime," the statement added.
Germany has experienced several high-profile mass shootings in recent years. In 2023, a gunman in Hamburg killed six people before killing himself. In 2016, a young German man killed at least nine people in Munich. (QNA)
