London, June 27 (QNA) - American Madison Keys was crowned champion of the Eastbourne International (WTA 250) on grass courts after defeating Germany's Tatjana Maria in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, on Saturday in the final.
With this victory, Keys won the 11th title of her career on the WTA Tour and her first since winning the 2025 Australian Open, her only Grand Slam title.
She will compete at Wimbledon on Monday, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season, where her best results have been reaching the quarterfinals in 2015 and 2023.
Keys opens her Wimbledon campaign in the first round against fellow American Kayla Day, a qualifier. (QNA)
