Egyptian Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments in Calls with Lebanese Prime Minister, Counterparts
Cairo, June 27 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments in separate telephone calls on Saturday with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and intensifying coordination and consultations on issues of mutual interest.
Abdelatty underscored the importance of building on the current negotiating track to help ease regional tensions and enhance security and stability, while taking into account the security concerns of the Gulf Arab states.
In a separate meeting in Cairo, the Egyptian foreign minister also held talks with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed on key regional and international issues, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and the United Nations and advance UN reform efforts in line with evolving global developments.
