Iraq, Kuwait Discuss Regional Security Updates
Baghdad, July 25 (QNA) - Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, met today with Governor of Basra, Asaad Al Eidani.
to discuss several matters of mutual interest, primarily the latest security developments in the region.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior explained that during his visit to Iraq today, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior reviewed with the Governor of Basra ways to enhance security coordination to bolster border security and serve the shared interests of both countries within the framework of the fraternal relations between them.
The statement added that at the conclusion of his visit, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior inspected the Al-Abdali border crossing and assessed the damage it sustained as a result of the Iranian aggression.
He directed the relevant authorities to quickly assess the damage and take the necessary measures to reopen the crossing as soon as possible, ensuring the return of normal traffic and serving the interests of both countries. (QNA)
