Doha, December 22 (QNA) - Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has concluded the 'EmpowerAbility' 2025 program, which aims to provide inclusive career development services for people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

The program utilized Qatar National Day celebrations as a real-life training platform to support the integration of youth with disabilities into the workplace, giving them practical opportunities to acquire skills and experience relevant to the labor market, within a national context that reinforces their sense of belonging and participation, QCDC said in a statement Monday.

It explained that the program was implemented in collaboration with a wide range of national partners, with each partner providing, within its expertise, roles and responsibilities suitable to participants' capabilities and offering an inclusive training environment that enabled participants to transform what they had learned in theory into practical experience in front of the public.

Executive Director of QCDC, Saad Abdulla Al Kharji, said: "Involving youth with disabilities directly in supporting Qatar National Day activities through the EmpowerAbility program sends a clear message that their place is not on the margins of society, but at the heart of its developmental journey, where they learn, participate, and make a real impact through their diverse roles".

Al Kharji added that the program reflects QCDC's firm commitment to inclusive career development and demonstrates what can be achieved when partners in the country unite around a shared vision of human capital development that leaves no one behind.

The National Events Track within EmpowerAbility combines theoretical preparation with on-site practical experience, where participants, before engaging in the National Day activities, underwent a series of focused training workshops on communication skills, teamwork, self-advocacy, visitor services, and event protocol, in cooperation with the center's specialized institutional partners.

EmpowerAbility is a flagship program of QCDC in supporting people with disabilities and learning difficulties, and in facilitating their access to career guidance and development services like other members of society.

The program also falls within QCDC's efforts to contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030, which places human development and social inclusion at the core of national progress, aiming to build a national workforce with the skills needed for the future and capable of contributing effectively to the country's economic and social development.
